Texans: Check Your Voter Status
I just read in the Dallas Morning News that more than 1.2M Texas voters are on the Suspense List. You can check to see if your voting status is active. Also, the deadline to register to vote in Texas' November general election is October 5th.

Annual Heat Safety Post
I posted the above chart back in summer of 2020 and then in subsequent years. Since we are now in August it does seem like a good time to remind people about the symptoms of and remediation for various heat-related illnesses. Said 2020 post also has a few tips for dealing with the heat.
Yes, this post is a little late in the summer... but here in Austin it's still going to be hot for a while.
