I'm very excited about the upcoming
Creative Fund Holiday Happy Hour at
Donn's Depot on Wednesday the 19th. First of all, we've got a great crowd coming thus it promises to be a fun event. Second, if you haven't been to Donn's between Thanksgiving and New Year's, then you are in for a surprise when you see just how thoroughly they deck the halls for Christmas. And finally, there is a Santa contest in which I am one of the candidates.
Here's how the Santa contest is going to work: from 6-7:30, three of us will be campaigning to be selected at Santa for the rest of the evening. Voting will be done via donations. The Santa with the most donations at 7:30 wins. Proceeds will go toward
The Creative Fund's rental subsidy program. So, we have fun, and next quarter your donations help to get a performing arts group into an Austin venue. Sounds like a good deal to me.
